3.1 Internet connection data
When you visit our website, we process the Internet connection data that your Internet browser automatically transmits to our server. This data is your IP address and other usage data (e.g. date and time of access, name of the page accessed, amount of data transferred and the requesting provider). We need this information to enable you to use our website, for example by adapting the website to the technical requirements of your end device.
This internet connection data may also be personal data. The legal basis for this data processing is our legitimate interest in ensuring the security and usability of our website, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
3.2 Cookies
Cookies are used on this website. Cookies are small text files that are assigned to the browser you are using and stored on the hard disk of the device you are using. Cookies cannot execute programs or transmit viruses.
When you visit our website for the first time, we display a so-called cookie consent banner to inform you about the tracking technologies we use and to give you the choice of which optional cookies you would like to consent to. You can change your selection at any time in the cookie consent banner on our website (see the explanations in section 3.3.).
Technically necessary cookies are used on this website. They are used to enable you to use our website and to take into account your decision on the use of further cookies. They also ensure the security of the website. Certain services cannot be provided without these cookies. In these cases, your terminal device is accessed on the basis of Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG. Insofar as this information has a personal reference and is further processed by us, the legal basis for this data processing is our legitimate interest in providing our website and ensuring data security, Art. 6 para. 1 letter f GDPR. If you are already registered on our website and the data processing serves to fulfill a contract, its legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 letter b GDPR.
In addition, we use cookies that are not technically necessary, such as performance cookies, functional cookies and marketing cookies.
Performance cookies allow us to collect statistical information about the use of our website. This enables us, for example, to determine the number of visitors and the effect of certain pages of our website and to optimize our content as well as to generate overall statistics, e.g. on the number of visits, which areas of the web pages are viewed most frequently and information on locations and the average length of stay on the web pages. Functional cookies enable us to store information about your visit to our website, in particular language settings, time zone or extended content.
By using marketing cookies, we can display advertisements for our (software) products on third-party websites based on your user profile and your preferences. These cookies also store data on how many visitors have seen or clicked on our advertisements. This allows us to optimize advertising campaigns, for example.
We only use technically unnecessary cookies with your consent. By clicking on the respective button (e.g. "Allow all" or "Allow selection") in the cookie consent banner or the data protection preference center, you consent both to the storage and reading of information in these optional cookies (Section 25 (1) TDDDG) via our respective website and to the further processing of any personal data read out (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

3.5 Web analysis with Google Analytics
We use the web analysis service Google Analytics to collect, collate and evaluate data about your behavior on our website. Among other things, this collects data about which website you came to our website from, which subpages you accessed or how often and for how long you viewed a subpage. The data collected by Google Analytics is also stored on Google servers in the USA. We have activated the IP anonymization function on our websites. This means that your IP address is truncated by Google within member states of the EU or the EEA before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. In its adequacy decision of July 10, 2023, the EU Commission determined that the level of data protection in the USA is comparable to that in the EU. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework on which the EU Commission's decision is based. Further information and the applicable data protection provisions of Google can be found here: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=policies&gl=de, https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms/de/.
The processing of personal data enables us to analyze the surfing behavior of visitors to our website. The legal basis for the processing is your consent in accordance with Section 25 (1) TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a) GDPR, which you give when you access our website via the selection on our cookie banner.
If you have given your consent to the use of Google Analytics, you can revoke your consent at any time and without giving reasons via the cookie consent banner. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
